Inasmuch as I would like to be a successful business owner, I have many questions, and different area's of interest, that are very polarized.
I am an intelligent, creative person with varied life & manufacturing experience. Ultimatetly I would like to provide a service to the public, i.e., a specialized niche, or even franchising - with a emphasis on expansion.
I am not employed full-time due to down-sizing, and I have almost no resources to get started, except passion, and perserverance. I have no desire to sit a desk all day or work for another large corporation, only to be under appreciated and eventually laid-off.
I am located in the Hartford area...anyone who could help me in any way, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

It is true, Passion is important to succeed in anything we do, especially in starting a business. Unfortunately, that's not the only requirement. From your comments, I recommend that you narrow down your interests/thoughts/ideas and develop a vision and a plan on how to apply your skills, experiences and passion to a sustainable business model (product/service) which can be offered to the marketplace. And yes, resources are important in getting a business “off the ground”. Then make an appointment with a SCORE Counselor.
